Samurai Sentai Shinkenger

Sentai Samurai The 33rd Super Sentai series, Samurai Sentai Shinkenger, also known as Samurai Squadron True Sword Ranger, premiered on February 15, 2009. Shinkenger, a combination of Shinken (true sword) and Ranger, is a video game with a feudal Japanese theme.

It merged with Kamen Rider W and Decade. Shinkenger’s footage and plot were repurposed for Power Rangers Samurai and Super Samurai, the franchise’s 18th and 19th seasons, which aired in 2011 and 2012, respectively.

The series received an average rating of 5.9%.

Plot Samurai Sentai Shinkenger

Humanity and the Gedoshu, beings that emerge from the depths of the abyss and terrorize those around them, have been at war for eons. The Japanese Emperor appointed five samurai clans to battle against the Gedoshu danger three hundred years ago, founding the Samurai Sentai Shinkenger, in order to combat these animals.

These samurai have the “Mojikara” skills, which let them use the kanji (Chinese letters) of the Japanese language to summon powers and ally with the elements to fend against enemies. To combat these animals’ “second life,” which transforms them into giants who rampage through the country, they also use “origami” (folding gods).

The struggle between the Shinkenger and Ayakashi raged on for 17 generations, with only a small respite granted by the former commander’s enormous sacrifice to temporarily stop the Gedoshu chief, Dokoku Chimatsuri.

Takeru Shiba, the 18th lord of the Shiba Clan, must once more gather his retainers to fight against the menace and defend the planet after many years have passed with the Gedoshu starting their attacks once more and Dokoku rising to flood the globe with the water of the Sanzu River of the abyss.

However, as the conflict progresses and this generation meets the Gedoshu’s worst threat to date, a sinister secret could hang over the Shinkenger.
