Plot - Kamen Rider Amazon
The fourth episode of the Kamen Rider Series is the Japanese tokusatsu drama Kamen Rider Amazon (, Kamen Raid Amazon, “Masked Rider Amazon” in English). The series, which had its Showa Era debut as the fourth episode, ran on NET and the Mainichi Broadcasting System from October 19, 1974, to March 29, 1975.
The 24 produced and broadcast episodes make it the shortest Kamen Rider series ever.
Due to the violence in the show, which contributed to it having a brief run, Kamen Rider Amazon is now regarded as a cult classic. To mark the 45th anniversary of the franchise, Kamen Rider Amazons, a contemporary remake, was published in 2016.
Story Kamen Rider Amazon
A young Amazon (Daisuke Yamamoto) is left abandoned without his parents after a plane crashes in the Amazon rainforest. Amazon is quickly adopted by an Incan tribe and grows up to be a wild child who lives off the land.
Amazon’s idyllic life, however, comes to an end when Golgos, the Jyumenki, massacres his town, killing everyone but himself in search of the potent “GiGi Armlet,” which bestows amazing power on its wearer.
While utilizing his expertise in Incan science and sorcery to perform a mystical “operation” on Daisuke that turned him into the formidable “Kamen Rider Amazon” before he passed away, Elder Bago, the last of the Incas, delivers the GiGi Armlet to Amazon for safekeeping.
After reaching Japan, Amazon engages Gedon in combat without fully understanding why they are after him. As he destroys Gedon and later the Garander Empire, Amazon befriends Professor Kousaka’s nephew and niece and discovers the purpose of the GiGi Armlet.
