Plot - Kousoku Sentai Turboranger
The thirteenth installment of the Super Sentai series, created by Toei Company and Bandai, is Kousoku Sentai Turboranger. There were 51 episodes in total when it was broadcast on TV Asahi from March 4, 1989, to February 23, 1990.
Turboranger’s premiere episode featured a team-up of the previous 10 Super Sentai, even though they are the 13th Sentai team by current counts, in honour of Super Sentai’s 10th anniversary. This happened because Toei had designated Battle Fever J as the start of the Super Sentai series at the time of Turboranger’s debut.
However, Gorenger and J.A.K.Q were retroactively added to the Super Sentai series when Toei promoted Chouriki Sentai Ohranger as the 19th anniversary of the Super Sentai series.
Spanish speakers refer to Turboranger as Turboranger, whereas South Koreans refer to it as Turbo Guerrilla.
The series received an average rating of 7.6%.
Plot Kousoku Sentai Turboranger
The Fairy race helped humans defeat the Boma Tribes in a conflict that took place 20,000 years ago, successfully sealing the Boma Tribes away. The Tribes were able to escape the seal thanks to modern pollution and man’s degradation of nature, which has diminished the strength of fairy magic.
Dr. Dazai assisted Seelon, the last of the fairies, in calling five seniors from area high schools. They can now hear Seelon’s voice since as kids they were doused in the “flames of spirit” of the lost fairies in a forest.
The five young people transformed into the Turborangers, combining days of warfare with their usual school lives, in order to destroy the Boma Tribes, donning powered suits created by Seelon’s magic and Dr. Dazai’s science.
